Dear Members,

As we continue developing our online book club, we'd love your creative input on naming our membership levels. These levels will be determined by an algorithm that considers your engagement—whether through lively discussions, thoughtful reviews, or book recommendations.

We have 10 levels to name,Eg:

1st level rank - Page Turner
2nd level rank - Book Worm
...

Please suggest how each level should be named. Your ideas will play a crucial role in shaping this aspect of our club. Each level will come with perks such as discounts or gift vouchers, details of which will follow.

Looking forward to your imaginative suggestions!🤞

That's a great idea. What about something related to the book genres for the higher ranks? It can help members connect over shared interests and foster deeper conversations. it can also encourage them to explore new genres as well.
And I suggest naming the basic membership level as "Member" or something like that. So my list goes like this,

Member - Anyone can join the club and start enjoying reading.

Book Turner - Members who read monthly recommendations and actively                                   engage in conversations. We can give them a discount ...or                                   nothing...(what yall think about that?)

Book Worm - Members who get involved in more book-related conversations                              and start their book-related conversations. We can start giving                              a discount.

Book Lover - For those who continue to engage in the conversations and                                    introduce lesser-known books to others. we can give them early                            access to new releases and a discount. (Maybe monthly                                        recommendations too ?)

Storyteller - An exclusive badge for the members who break down stories,                               discuss symbolism, and explain hidden meanings. A                                             discount+monthly book recommendation + Exclusive early                                   access to new releases.

* Other 5 genre-related ones. we can merge genres and come up with some names.

** And I also think we need to give a recognition to the beta testers when this is released. You can give a badge to encourage them as well.

                                                                                     ~TheMorningstar.

@gadfly YEP. What is great to one can be not so great to another. But I referred to what is generally accepted. Many of us like their work. Or whether or not we like them, we have had to study them or read them. This is a forum for suggestions. We can all chip in and decide what is best.

Hmm I wonder if any are familiar with the audible app and the way they categorise things.

They have three categories a listener can achieve things under:

  1. Listening time
  2. Listening level
  3. Badge collection

I feel we could have this approach rather than just having 10 different categories.

So to apply it to our context:

Considering 1 and 2 above:

  • We could have time spent on book club per month or a week and maybe 3 categories depending on the time spent on the forum
  • If measuring time spent is not feasible then maybe the number of interactions with posts and depending on a particular number, just a few categories

Considering 3 above:

  1. Have categories like what @gadfly is suggesting. Which has to do with specific types of engagement or type of book categories on which the engagement is based on

I feel @themorningstar's suggestion is also very appealing.

  1.

@hellodilinika Thank you for your fantastic suggestion! While we can’t reveal the exact algorithm that determines member rewards, we assure you that it is very fair and ensures that everyone benefits from active participation. We will definitely take your suggestion into account when improving our reward system.
